Born and raised in Jamaica, Queens. It all started with a dream.....

Back in 2016, I was working retail and wanted to ESCAPE!!! I quit my job and decided to start my business making custom apparel. I then went into bridal and learned alot about alterations.  After a year, I closed my business due to lack of sales. I realized I still had much to learn and needed time to figure out my business goals and future plans. I then became a tailor at Levi's and learned how to do chainstitch embroidery.

.....then the pandemic changed everything.

Fast forward to 2020, the pandemic hit and I was on furlough from my job. I started making masks for family and friends, and I soon became motivated to start my business again. Once I started working again, I saved my money and purchased my very own chainstitch embroidery machine. I also decided to name my business Michelle Andrea Customizations, which include my first and middle name. I wanted my business to be personal, and to reflect my interpretation of fashion and the world of customizations. Along the way, I have met some AMAZING people and have come across great opportunities during my business journey! I have learned a lot and continue to grow my knowledge, all while staying creative and true to myself and my brand.

My Dream. My Vision. My Goal.

Today I make pieces that are not only reflective of my personal style, but my culture, where I was born and raised, and life as a black woman living in New York. Being able to make pieces that reflect and uplift my people is very important to me. I aim to create a brand where people can not only shop cool stuff, but make these pieces personal with their own unique touch through customization. Let's get creative together!
